Les Colonnes

Saint Romain en Viennois

Welcome

photoNestled within a spectacular fortified Medieval circular village with views to the pre-Alpine Baronnies hills and close to Mont Ventoux, the house called ‘Les Colonnes’ (The Columns) is located in Saint Romain en Viennois, in the northern part of the Vaucluse region of Provence. The house is sheltered by an ancient romanesque church in the heart of the village and offers charm and comfort in a quiet setting with friendly neighbours. The ancient house has been recently renovated into a beautiful 3-bedroom family home. The property has 3 terraces for enjoying the views and for convivial al fresco dining. Additionally, there is a secluded courtyard and access to a garden with olive and apricot trees and lavender.

Saint Romain en Viennois has a cafe, restaurant and municipal tennis court. It's only three kilometres outside Vaison La Romaine, a fashionable summer resort featuring a partially excavated Roman town (the largest archaeological site in France) and a stunning Medieval district. Vaison's colourful Tuesday open-air market is one of the largest in Provence. The Roman theatre hosts a modern dance festival during July. This past summer Vaison once again featured the triennial choral festival, Les Choralies.

The surrounding countryside is famous for its wine (Côtes du Rhône Villages Puyméras and Côtes du Ventoux), its olives, excellent cycling and walking. Avignon, the Pont du Gard, Arles, the Camargue and Mediterranean beaches are all easy day trips.
